Who is Antonia (Toni) Allegra?
Toni Allegra is the pioneer writing and career coach dedicated to the food and wine industries. She is a founding member of the C4 Collaborative for Culinary Coaches and Consultants, founder of the former Culinary Coaches Alliance and was trained at Coach University. A recent article in the Washington Post and another in the North Bay Bohemian give a sense of Toni's coaching style. One of her strengths is her ability to help launch people, ideas, and companies. She offers private coaching for individuals and conducts staff or group coaching workshops and sessions. In all her coaching, she focuses on clarity in career as well as in writing.
What style of coaching does Toni offer?
Coaching, whether in person, by telephone or via computer, Toni offers highly personalized career and writing direction to professionals within the culinary and wine industries. She is trained as a professional coach and has experience and intuition from 28 years in the food and wine industries. She and the coached professional meet by phone or in person at regularly scheduled intervals. Clients usually send an agenda of items to be discussed in advance. Together they create solutions, make the most of opportunities, celebrate the victories, and remain focused. E-mail and/or faxes may be used between sessions if needed.
Is coaching for you?
Coaching is useful for anyone making significant professional or personal changes for which they seek outside guidance and support, including:
- Entrepreneurs and small business owners who wish to increase their revenue or profitability.
- Professionals, such as food writers, chefs, caterers, winemakers, recipe developers, managers, cooking school directors/teachers, marketing communicators and others who want more results from their work and more satisfaction in their lives.
- Individuals or teams in corporate or other groups.
This has been true because the rational, positive, realistic coaching process works with problem-solving and planning for those who may feel stuck or unsuccessful in a particular problem or situation. A coach helps work through issues and discovers what could be the next steps toward a balanced life. Others may have an idea of what they want, but have no specific plan of action to get them there. For some, there are obstacles that they trip over again and again. For each of these types of professionals and many others, coaching works. If you are experiencing some of these issues, you might consider coaching and how it can help you.
Toni has worked with over 1500 wine and food professionals who wanted to integrate balance into their personal and professional lives.

On Success
To laugh often and love much;
To win the respect of intelligent persons
and the affection of children;
To earn that approbation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of oneself;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a
healthy child, a garden patch
or a
redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm,
and sung with exaltation;
To know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived…
This is to have succeeded.
· Ralph Waldo Emerson
